Spin oscillations of a single-mode polariton system driven by a plane wave

Theoretical study is performed of a single-mode polariton system with linear coupling spin components. When combined an ordinary two-particle interaction, the involves spontaneous symmetry breaking accompanied by switch from to circular polarization under resonant driving. The asymmetric steady states can also lose stability, giving way oscillatory and chaotic dynamics. Here, we explore continuous transformation between multistable regime, where locked in phase pump but has broken symmetry, full-span oscillations circular-polarization degree, owing which effectively reestablished. Such are analogous intrinsic Josephson effect prove be robust against arbitrarily strong perturbations. Transitional phenomena include Hopf bifurcation, bistability limit cycles, transitions dynamical chaos through series period doubling/halving events.
